actually DDR2 is still cheaper across the board, especially when you factor in the cheaper cost for a DDR2 motherboard, still for $50 (rough avg.) more you do get newer technology that is more future proof - if you aren't worried about cutting corners to save every bit of cash then there's nothing wrong with DDR3, just shop around ,since sometimes the same RAM will vary quite abit.

I too recently built a computer but I have more of a horror story with that so I will only comment what I saw in this thread.

- it's only $85 after rebate = tremendous performance for a low price.
I don't want to scare you away from that card but I saw a review on the site that said: "About the drivers..
idk if my card is defective but it BSOD'd daily while playing most games. I used multiple versions of the drivers doing the whole safe mode and drivers sweeper and all that too, only to make the card not BSOD as often. Besides that its been a good card, not quite enough power to play most new games at 1920 x 1080. If i'd of known about the driver troubles i would have tried nvidia instead.
" I have MSI's 4670 and am having BSOD problems too. I am also not sure if it's my card or not. Sometimes GW will BSOD when it's minimized (always that trigger), and it always gives a BSOD when I try to start Nanny 911. And it's always the same exact error report (SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXCEPTION / win32k.sys / 0x3b), which has been linked to graphic cards. But like I said before, it doesn't always happen (except for Nanny 911, which makes no sense, the game can run on integrated graphics and is 2D, thus adding to the weirdness of the situation). So if you do get this, I would make sure to test it out in any way you can while you can still exchange it through NewEgg.

the CPU/mobo combo looks good, the rest is mostly personal choice.
I have the the 500 watt version of that power supply and I like it. Not much to really say because it doesn't do much but the modular cable system keeps it REALLY clutter free (and from OCZ's standpoint is a really nice marketing ploy). It also comes with a carrying case for the cables.

Well, I wouldn't trust that guy's reviews if he can't figure out that his card is defective.
Or maybe he thinks all the other hundreds of reviewers are just ignoring blue screens.
